Solve My Math Problem

4 Quarts= 1 Gallon

If someone had 12 Quarts how many gallons will that person have?

One of the difference between metric units of capacity and customary units of capacity is that the metric unit units of capacity deals with litters and milliliters and customary units of capacity does not. Customary units of capacity deals with the basics of measurement.

Capacity

The difference between metric and customary units is that metric units are mainly used in the US than anywhere else.

How many quarts are in 20 gallons??

Student Reflection: Capacity

There are a couple of between metric units of capacity and customary units of capacity. One difference is that Customary units are used in the united states. Metric units are used in the rest of the world.

4 quarts= 1 gallon

How many gallons does Ms. Russell have if she have 48 quarts of milk?

Tuesday, January 26, 2010

The difference between these two unites is that customary is only used in the united states and metric is used all over the world. I wonder why?

An example is that 1 pint=2 cups.

STORY
if i had 6 cups of water how many pints would that be?

solve my problem

The difference between metric units of capacity and customary units ofcapacity is that they are the opposite of each other.

Theirs 4 quarts in a gallon
how many quaters are in 28 gallons?

the difference is that one tells you how much it can hold and the other tells you the same answer but in a different name. one conversion is 4 pint equal 1 gallon. my own problem is that if 2 pints equal 1 quarts then 8 pints equal how many gallons.
answer=1

BLOG ASSIGNMENT!

Listen, we need help on MEASUREMENT!!!!  So for this blog assignment, each student will create a post dealing with measurement.  In sixth grade, we need to know the difference between metric units of capacity and customary units of capacity.

For your post, you need the following:

1.  Describe the difference between metric units of capacity and customary units of capacity

2. List one conversion.  FOR EXAMPLE:  2 cups = 1 pint

3. Create your own word problem for someone to solve.  FOR EXAMPLE:  How many gallons does Mr. Baiz have if he has 12 quarts of milk?

GOOD LUCK!!

UNIT 3

EXPONENT WAS THE EASIEST CAUSE U CAN JUST KEEP MULTIPLYING ND COULD UNDERSTAND BETTER THEN ALL THE OTHERS.

THE TOPIC THAT GAVE ME THE MOST PROBLEM WAS ORDER OF OPERATION CAUSE IT WAS COMPLICATED BECAUSE IT WAS HARD FOR ME TO REMEMBER WHICH WAY TO START.

THISS ALL I GOT 4 NOWW MR BAIZ

students reflection

what i liked about unite 3 was everything. I think i did very well with the Exponents i do understand Exponents, and the Order of Operations was easy all you had to do is know what was pemdas...hmm OK, ok i might have lied a lil, i had a lil bit of a problem with Translating, but i mean it wasnt that big of a lie i think we can still work this out.

student reflectionn

the topic that were easy for me was order of operations only because i understood it more.

the topics that gave me the most problems were exponents because i kept multiplying by that number.

no i don't have any questions

Reflection on Unit Three

The easiest topic in unit 3 was Exponents, Order of Operations, Substitution, Using Variables. The topics that gave me the most problem were Properties of Arithmetic. I don't have any questions about unit 3

student reflection

the topics that were the easiest for me were order of operations and compareing and ordering decimals. The math that gave me the most problems were Finding Rules bacause i was no good at it. no i do not have any lingering questionson any of the topics in unit three.

Student Reflection

The easiest questions on the unit 3 test was the Poperty of Artmeic problems. Those wwere the questions that I understood the most because we kept on doing that lesson intil we all got to understand it.

The topics that gave me the most problems was to do one of the order of operations problems because I tried to do it correctly but I still don't think that I got the question right.

No, I do not have any more questions on the questions because I asked all my questions when I finished my test.

Student Reflection

On the Unit 3 Test the easiest topic for me was Order of Operations. It was easy because I practiced that a lot in class. What gave me a little bit of trouble was the input and output tables because we never really went over that. Unit 3 was really easy and there are no lingering questions I still have.

BLOG ASSIGNMENT!

Welcome!  Let's reflect on Unit Three!  Please post a blog response to the following.  Thinking back on Unit Three, answer the following questions:

  • What topics were easiest for you to understand and why?
  • What topics gave you the most problems and why?
  • Do you have any lingering questions about any of the topics in Unit Three?  If so, please state them.
When you make your post, please title it STUDENT REFLECTION.  You may also post a relevant picture.

Remember the topics in Unit 3 are Exponents, Order of Operations, Substitution, Finding Rules, Using Variables, Translating, and Properties of Arithmetic to just name a few!!
