Hi everyone. So I don't know if this is like measuring, but my mom got mad at me the other day for yelling with my sister, and she started counting up. She said if she got to five, we'd be in big trouble. She only got to four.

Michael you've definitely identified a very creative form of measurement. It sounds like your mom's counting is measuring the time it'll take her to address your behavior. What's amazing is that you and your sister know her form of time measurement from experience and it's great that you didn't let her get to 5!
ReplyDeleteMy mom used to measure this way too! The only difference is that I was only allowed a count up to three before big trouble. I wonder if we measured the pace of counting if there'd be more time between each number in the 1-2-3 than the 1-5 count? Either way, seems like we have it rough...some kids are were allowed all the way until 10 before trouble!
